The Christmas season has begun and the children in nursery have been listening to the nativity story of Mary and Joseph and learning about the meaning of  Christmas.

The children enjoyed creating a nativity picture on JIT paint.

The children  were surprised to find someone had left a letter and a lot of mess in their classroom. They were excited to find out our secret visitor was Eric the Elf. The children then used the instruction cards to left by Eric  to help him remember how to decorate a Christmas tree. 

Santa Dash!

The North Pole is in trouble! How can we help? Santa's sleigh has broken and he has lost all his toys along the way. Mrs Clause has burnt all the cookies and all the presents in the wrapping room have all been muddled up. Can the elves at Llangyfelach nursery help?

There were footprints left behind in nursery. Who's are they? 

Santa made a little surprise visit to the children at Llangyfelach nursery. He left a letter and a map, asking them for help to build a sleigh and find the missing toys. Can the nursery  go on a mission to save Christmas?

The children designed their own Santa's sleigh and together we talked about the shape, size and what we need to help make the sleigh move.

Together the children looked at their sleigh design they made in class and with their friends they had fun crating their sleigh, using the construction left by Santa.
