This week we are looking at food around the world. Look at the power point below to find out what food is eaten in different countries. Can you design and make your very own pizza? May be have a look in your fridge for different ingredients you would like to have on your pizza.

Have some fun making your very own rainbow spaghetti. Follow the instructions below.

• Cook spaghetti in boiled water
• Drain the spaghetti and separate the spaghetti into different bowls for different colours
• Add a few drops of different coloured food colouring to each bowl of spaghetti 
• Stir and leave for five minutes
• Rinse the spaghetti under cold water to set the colour
• Add numbers, letters or shapes and use tongs and scoops to collect to make a number line, shape picture or your name. You can use scissors to cut the pasta.

What can you make with your pasta? Make a pasta picture of your choice

Flower, rainbow, sun catcher, butterfly, Person, animal. It is up to you.

Literacy

Write or draw a list of ingredients to make your pizza. Or you can collect different food in your kitchen and match the beginning sound to the different food, using letters.

Spell and write your name.

Play the game below. Choose letters of your name to write in the sky. Can you write the letters in salt, rainbow name writing. Writing over the letters of your name, using different colours. Paint over your name, or even finger printing to form the letters of your name. It is up to you how you want to write your name. Can you sound out the letters in your name?
