Welcome to the Home Learning Area for Nursery. Below is a list of activities for your children to complete throughout the week, at their own leisure. 

The Home Learning Area will be updated for the start of every Monday.

Home Learning Area Tasks for the week of: 23.03.20

Maths: 

Have some fun graphing with shapes. Tape four columns on the floor or a table with tapped shape at the top in each column. Can you child look around the house for items to match the right shape.

Here are some questions to ask your child. Which is the longest column? Which shape was the least found? How many shapes are in each column? Can you name the shapes?

Shape matching- Draw four shapes on individual sheets of paper. Can your child look around the house for different shaped objects and sort them? Can your child name the shapes? 

Giglets: 

Using your new log in details, go onto the Giglets website and select 'Visit Library'. Choose books to share as a family. Please complete the assigned task. Design your own front cover on paper for the story Baby Bear. Can your child write the sound b for bear or write their own title for their front cover. 

Topic Work:

Talk about the different mini beasts with your children. Can you make a list of creepy crawlies? Read the story book together, called Mad about mini beast.
