Welcome to Year 1!
A warm welcome to Year 1! Below you will find an outline of our key routines. We look forward to sharing our learning experiences with you! You can access them by clicking on the project icons below, where you will find a range of photos, videos and pieces of work. Further details regarding homework and useful websites can be found at the bottom of the page also.
- Snack pots will need to be brought into the classroom every morning. Please label all pots with your child's name and make sure they are easily accessible for your child in their bag.
- Reading books and Reading Records will be need to be brought in on your child's reading day. If you are ready to change the reading book before their next reading day, please don't hesitate to let me know and return the book before hand.
- P.E. Kit can be worn to school every Thursday.
- Maths Homework (MathSeeds) can be accessed via readingeggs.co.uk and will be set every Friday based on their learning in class that week. Please click on the maths seeds tab. Log in details remain the same as Reading Eggs login.
- Phonics and Reading Homework - the children can access readingeggs.co.uk. The online platform offers activities on Fast Phonics and Reading Eggs Maps. These activities support phonic and reading development.
- Funday Friday - We would like to take our learning outdoors into the school grounds on a Friday afternoon. Please ensure the children have clothing suitable for the weather :)
The children will also have opportunities to complete tasks set in class during Maths and Reading carousels.
