Transition

Change is a normal part of life and can provide opportunities for children to develop their resilience. Whether a child is starting primary school, changing schools, changing class, moving from Foundation Phase to Key Stage 2 or Primary to Comprehensive school, this transition period needs to be carefully supported.

During any transition period, LPS offers children the opportunity to talk about their concerns and are supported to cope with any readjustments. We have created this web space to help and support all pupils through these processes.

Below are a collection of strategies, information and activities that will help with the smooth transition between classes and the move to Comprehensive school.
