LPS Matrix

 

As part of the LPS Matrix approach, we discussed our prior knowledge, discussed what we would like to learn about, created questions to explore and identified skills we would need to use throughout the topic.

 

Here are the questions we created: 

 

  1. What was life like in 1939?

  2. Why did WWII happen? Why did Hitler hate the Jews so much?

  3. How did people respond when they found out war was coming?

  4. What was life like for children during WWII?

  5. How was school affected during the war? What changed?

  6. Why were air raids dangerous? What was done to protect the people?

  7. How many people were evacuated? How did this affect peoples lives?

  8. How many bombs dropped by the Luftwaffe and what damage did they cause?

  9. What was rationing and how did it affect people lives?

  10. How were the Royal Family affected?

  11. How did British technology and engineering help win the war?

  12. How many people were killed or injured during WWII? How does this compare to WWI?
