Play, Learn and Grow Together

2022-2023

We are the Humanity Heroes!

We took an assembly to share what the Humanity Heroes do for LPS and the wider community in order to encourage and recruit new members from Year 2 to join us.

Our Y6 members had the opportunity to attend the Youth Green Zone Cop in Cardiff. They had a chance to get their voices heard by the Government on Global warming and rainforest deforestation issues.

LPS Healthy Snack Award

Llangyfelach is a Healthy School, and we encourage all the children to only bring healthy snacks in to school.

Every day each class takes a tally of how many children have a healthy snack. At the end of every week we add up the overall scores and the class with the most wins for that week.

The class that wins the most, wins a healthy basket of fruit at the end of the term.

The Humanity Heroes have helped monitor standards and progress across the school during Review Week.

We have started planting in our allotment beds. Watch this space to see what we produce.

LPS is proud to be working with Energy Sparks in a bid to tackle climate change and become more energy efficient.

Energy Sparks is an online analysis tool and education programme that will help us be more aware of our energy usage and become more energy efficient.

Below you can see all the lovely work we have been doing: -

The Humanity Heroes helped take an assembly to introduce everyone to Energy Sparks and talk about energy saving.

Our Humanity Heroes will be helping lead our energy saving campaign.
