The 3 LPS Review Fortnights will generate most of the annual review information, providing the SLT and Governing Body live updates to the SER throughout the year.
Toward the end of the academic year, SLT receive a non-contact week in order to review the LPS SER and SIP in readiness for the coming academic year.
Each day has an agenda with specific tasks, activities and meetings.
Information gleaned through the self-review systems is used to inform the in-year successes and next development steps for the school.
School data is analysed and qualitative information is scrutinised, in order to set the measurable targets for the following year.
Performance Management themes are set with the relevant training identified.
The SER and SIP are reviewed thoroughly and put forward to the Governing Body for ratification.
In addition to the SER and SIP, the following areas are also refined or updated during SLT week:
Relevant amendments to policies and documentation, using information gleaned through self-review systems.
Review school budget, grant and spend plans.
Prioritise CPD & Training Priorities for the year.
Review staffing structures, timetables and logistics.
INSET and ADDs sessions organised and themes set.
Self-Review Timeline amendments.
Updated templates and masters for self-review systems where required
Organise the school diary for the next academic year.
This approach is vital for securing knowledge of where the school is, where it has been and where it is going. The SLT Week is the blueprint for the next academic year and is central to all self-review activities throughout the year at LPS.
