  • Summer Term - Swansea Bay Magazine

Have you ever wondered what’s happening around Swansea Bay and the beautiful Gower coast?

There’s a free monthly magazine called The Bay Magazine, made especially for people who live in Swansea and Gower. Its job is simple but important: to inform, educate, and entertain the local community.

Right now, Swansea Bay is going through lots of exciting changes! New buildings, projects and ideas are helping the area grow and improve. Because of this, The Bay Magazine shares lots of exciting stories that keep everyone up to date.

    But that’s not all!

Swansea and Gower are also home to some of the most beautiful natural places in the UK. The magazine also wants to help people learn just how special this environment is and how we can all help protect it so it stays amazing for years to come.

To help with this, Year 2 have been asked to become young reporters! We will explore the changes happening in Swansea, find out the reasons behind them and think about how we can protect our wonderful natural environment at the same time.

Get ready Year 2 to become explorers of your own local area, because Swansea Bay is changing, and your story starts here!

We kickstarted this terms topic by learning how to write an article. Then we found out what current issues Swansea Bay was facing and created our first article for The Bay Magazine.
