30 Hours Free Childcare

The Welsh Government provides 30 hours a week of early education and childcare for working parents of 3 and 4 year olds in Wales, for 48 weeks of the year.

The number of childcare hours a parent can receive will depend on the number of hours Foundation Phase Nursery provision they will receive. For example, a child who receives 12.5 hours per week of Foundation Phase nursery school provision will be entitled to 17.5 hours of free childcare through the pilot.
