Autumn Term

Standards-

Analysis of INCERTS shows that nearly all children at LPS are currently working at or above their expected level/outcome for their year group in the areas of Geography and History.

Workbook Monitoring –

The standard of children’s work and expectations is high across the school. All evidence of Geography and History and RE is relevant and topic based. All children are working at appropriate levels for their ability and year group. Good evidence of differentiation was seen in KS2.

Children are beginning to self and peer-assess and there were examples of this in a few classes.

Listening to learners –

Nearly all learners spoken to said they enjoyed their Geography and History topics. They like learning about different countries and different times throughout history. UKS2 children commented that they enjoyed RE more when it was linked to their topic, but felt other RE topics could be made more enjoyable if they could go on more trips and also have more artefacts to see and hold. Some children were able to comment on what they knew about the ESDGC strands, as they had carried out ADA recycling workshops, which they said they enjoyed and had found out interesting facts about the things we throw away.
