Performance Management

  • Formulation of the Performance Targets for all starts with a review of the previous year’s targets during planned professional meetings.

  • Agreed targets are set in collaboration between the Performance Management Leader and the member of staff.

  • The School Improvement Plan (SIP) Targets are reflected in the Performance Management objectives for the Headteacher, all staff and pupils.  This ‘Golden Thread’ ensures aligned focus on whole school improvement and shared understanding towards success.

  • During these initial meetings a series of agreed expectations and evidence gathering criteria is documented.

  • Along with agreed support mechanisms such as:

    • Lesson Observations

    • Paired PPA

    • Team Teaching

    • Coaching Sessions

    • Specific Training

    • Tracking system quality checks

    • Training Courses

  • Further meeting and support activity dates are agreed for clarity, time management and direction.
