LPS Matrix: Rock pool Raiders

We loved watching Old Jack’s Boat Rock pool Tales on CBBC to learn more about our new topic. We are very excited to help the Year 2s and Swansea Bay News to research the beautiful beaches around Swansea. We loved learning more about what a rock pool is, how it is formed and what lives inside.   We worked with our fish and chip partner discussed all the things we already know about our topic. We ping ponged key words about our topic and added these to our writers wall. We then came up with 5 questions we would like to find out:

  1. 1. What oceans do whales live in?
  2. 2. What is a mussel?
  3. 3. Are mermaids real?
  4. 4. How do we stay safe at the beach?
  5. 5. Why do crabs have shells?

 

We then decided what activities we wanted in the different areas of learning. We are looking forward to making our very own rock pool!
