Day 13

All the chrysalides are now hardened so it is time to move them into the butterfly habitat. I opened up the cup and carefully removed the lid. I cleaned away all of the silk and frass surrounding the chrysalides using a cotton bud. If you do not remove this material, the butterflies may become entangled when they emerge. Entanglement will make it difficult for the butterflies to expand their wings. Now, we wait!
