With help from your family collect objects around the house that are shiny or a sources of light. Can you sort them onto two separate sheets of paper? One labelled shiny and the other not shiny.

Play the game, catch the fallen stars. How many stars can you count?

Literacy Letter recognition

 

Make glittery play dough. Follow the recipe below.

    Ingredients 

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of salt
  • Sachet of cream of tartar
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • Lots of glitter of your choice

 

    Method

  • Measure all the ingredients
  • Put the ingredients in a plastic bowl 
  • Stir and put in the microwave. Make sure the dough doesn't become too dry.
  • Mix the dough with your hands
  • Put the bowl of ingredients into the microwave and cook till the dough is soft.
  • Sir the dough mixture 
  • Ready to use

 

Use the play dough mats below to spell your name, then use your glitter play dough to make the letters of your name.
