The Origin of the Species

As part of the LPS Matrix approach, we discussed our prior knowledge, discussed what we would like to learn about, created questions to explore and identified skills we would need to use throughout the topic.

Here are the questions we created:

  1. Who are Alfred Wallace and Charles Darwin?

  2. Why is Darwin more famous than Wallace?

  3. How did Wallace and Darwin carry out their research?

  4. How long did it take Wallace and Darwin to complete their research?

  5. How did Wallace and Darwin’s research on evolution change history?

  6. How have different animals adapted to where they live?

  7. Which species has evolved the most?

  8. What is natural selection?

  9. Can evolution be proven? Is it fact or theory?

  10. How did people's belief in religion change because of Darwin's theories?

  11. How might climate conditions in 2023 affect adaptation?

  12. How do humans interfere with evolution?

  13. How might humans carry on evolving?

  14. What might cause humans or animals to evolve again? How long does evolution take?
