How do I inform the school of my child's absence?

It is important that we are informed of your child's absence as soon as possible.  This information can be passed to us in a number of ways:

If you are aware of your child's absence in advance e.g. medical appointment, this information can be passed to us as soon as it is available.  Please bring a copy of the appointment card/letter wherever possible.

When informing us of an absence it is important to let us know the precise nature in order that we can code it correctly in accordance with Welsh Government directive.  Please note that if the absence is COVID-19 related you should telephone the school on the above number and ask to speak to Heather Akerman.

Wherever possible please state the expected duration of the absence - if you are unable to do so you will be required to call each morning to report the absence.

**Please note - Public Health Wales advises that pupils should be kept away from school for 48hr following the last episode of diarrhoea and/or vomiting.
