We did it!
We have been awarded our Bronze Award.
Rights Respecting Bronze Award Journey.
Llangyfelach Primary has began its 'Rights Respecting' journey.
To be a Rights Respecting School we need to focus on embedding a child's rights approach into all aspects of their school life.
Becoming a Rights Respecting school involves re-evaluating our school’s ethos and practices to make sure they embed the principles of the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of the Child.

What we are doing...
1.Informing the whole school community that the school is working on the RRSA.
2.Getting everyone familiar with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Every fortnight we hold an assembly to inform the whole school of a new Right of the Child. We carry out an activity to promote and highlight this Right throughout the fortnight.
This Fortnight we are looking at articles 29 and 3
•Article 29
Education must develop every child’s
personality, talents and abilities to the
full. It must encourage the child’s respect
for human rights, as well as respect
for their parents, their own and other
cultures, and the environment.
•Article 3
The best interests of the child must be a
top priority in all decisions and actions that
affect children.
