Photos of our learning

Nursery children watched a video clip about rock pools and they decided they want to make their own rock pool using the objects collected by Barnaby Bear's visit to the beach. The children talked about what creatures lived in the rock pool and wrote what they saw.

Having fun making a rock pool with our friends.

Binoculars and buckets at the ready! The children took Barnaby Bear on an adventure. They used the map they made to help Barnaby Bear follow a trail to look for the treasure. What did they find along the way! Will they find the treasure chest?

The children were very excited they found the treasure chest, but there was a problem. It is locked. A challenge has been left. Is Nursery up for the job? The children need to follow the clues left by Captain Gold. Can they find the missing keys and find the right key to open the lock on the treasure chest?

We enjoy being creative.

Nursery children had a lot of fun learning how to cook. They made predictions of what might happen when the different ingredients were added together and they carefully watched how they changed colour and texture. They loved making their own starfish cookies. First they weighed all the ingredients using a weighing scale, then sieved the flour, added the sugar and mixed all the ingredients together till it was light and fluffy. Finally they rolled the dough ready to use their shape cutter. Best of all was eating them. Yummy!
