Project 3 - Shadows and Reflections
Look what we found…..our shadows.
We started the term of with circle time, where we discussed our new topic Shadows and Reflections. We went around with Sid and asked all the children what they thought a shadow or reflection was. The children really interacted during this activity, it was lovely to hear all there answers and watch them use their imagination.
Before starting the topic, we spoke to the children about what information and facts they already know and have previously learned about shadows and reflections. They came up with lots of great information and are looking forward to learning more about reflections and shadows.
Shadows and Reflections
What are shadows and reflections? this topic teaches children about natural phenomena, including shadows, reflections and echos. They will have the chance to explore how shadows are formed and how they change throughout the course of the topic. The children will have the opportunity to use torches and other equipment to see if they can create shadows in the light and dark.
