It is normal to see webbing in the pot. Caterpillars will continue to spin webs as they grow. In nature, the webbing protects caterpillars from many dangers. Caterpillars use webbing to stick to their host plants, as the wind can easily blow them off the leaves. Caterpillars also use the webbing to pull leaves around themselves to hide from predators that might want to eat them!
