Photos of Our Learning

Our busy first week in nursery having fun learning numbers and shapes. The children learnt the first sound of the week s and made some lovely stars in the playdough and were supper fast at finding the sound on Fast Phonics. They has a lot of fun taken part in an obstacle course, jumping over hurdles, rolling and walking a beam.

We have fun learning our sound of the week a.

Nursery had fun learning about patterns in class and exploring patterns in their yard. When investigating patterns outside, there were many ways of exploring different surfaces. We had fun using wax crayon rubbings and then using foil to show outline of shape patterns. Some children were excited to create patterns of their own in the wet sand.

Nursery have been learning the sound of the week p. They used their fingers to print leopards spots, writing the sound p using chalks and sorting our pigs and penguins in their homes. The children enjoyed drawing patterns on the zebra.

We have been using our fine motor skills

Nursery enjoyed exploring musical instruments with their friends. They learned the names of the instruments and how to use them. They used their instrument fast and loud when they saw Mrs Harris-Griffiths hands were stretched up high and quiet and slow when they saw her hands down low.

We are getting ready to celebrate Tedi Twt's birthday! Together we talked how we celebrate our birthday and then we learned how to write a party invitation and birthday card to our friends. We had a lot of fun baking cakes too. First we had to weigh all the ingredients and then mix it all together. We found that the mixture had changed.

Nursery children had fun moving their bodies to show how they feel.

The Nursery children enjoyed their Autumn walk with their family and brought their objects back to class to show their friends. The children talked about the different coloured leaves that had changed colour of yellow, orange and red. They were excited to create some lovely prints of Autumn leaves themselves and make the Autumn creatures a home. The children loved being messy when exploring and had fun making some pumpkin soup for the hungry hedgehogs and badgers. They were creative in the paint and decorated a tree using the colours of Autumn.

In PE we had a lot of fun shaking, lifting and walking with the parachute with our friends. We counted to ten and helped the coloured leaves bounce off the parachute. We lifted the parachute as high as we could shouting hello in different languages. We were very clever at finding a colour on the parachute when asked in welsh.
