New breakfast Club Arrangements
The school has recently undertaken a Health & Safety audit.
One of the outcomes from this audit was concern for safety and security regarding breakfast club entry.
As a result, we are implementing changes to the breakfast club entry (8:15am slot) from Friday the 19th October 2018.
Entry to breakfast club will now be located at the top yard gate.
The main gate will open at 8:15am.
Staff will greet and sign your child into breakfast club through the yard doors (where they normally line up).
Parents will no longer be required to sign for their children - staff will undertake this to speed up the entry process.
The school door will close again at 8:30am, with the main gate staying open.
Only children entering breakfast club will be supervised.
This will ensure that the main entrance will not become over crowded.
Only Wraparound Breakfast will enter the school at the main reception as normal.
Please contact the school if you require further clarification.
On Monday 25th June during the day we will be having a Bounce and Slush day. For just £2.50 the children can come to school in non-uniform, have fun on the Bouncy castle and get a slush puppie drink.
Entrance to the fair at 3pm will be FREE!
If you would like your child to participate in our fun day please send £2.50 in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class before the 25th.
I know all the children are looking forward to the LPS Sports Day 2018 today. The sun is shining and everyone is going to have a great day. Unfortunately, I can not make our fantastic event today as I have been asked to work on a project for our regional consortia (ERW). This is great news for the school - which demonstrates the fantastic work our staff have been doing over the past few years. So it is a great honour for us. However, this is the first sports day I have missed in my 20 years as a teacher and it is very disappointing that I will miss out on seeing everyone having a great time. I wish all the children great luck and hope they have a great day - I know they will! Mr Higgins, I hand the megaphone to you.

On Wednesday 13th June the children will be taking part in Brake's kids walk around the village and are invited to swap their school uniform for fun, bright, stripy clothes in exchange for a £1 donation to Brake - the Road Safety Charity.
Nursery children will arrange their walk on the school premises.
Your money will help Brake to support families who have lost loved ones in road crashes and campaign for safer roads.
