This week in maths, we have been learning about groups. We have been looking at making groups of 2 and groups of 5.
At home, please can you:
Practise making groups of 2 using small objects such as toys, coins, pasta, or buttons.
Practise making groups of 5 using objects around the house.
Count how many objects there are altogether in the groups.
For example:
2, 4, 6, 8… when counting in 2s
5, 10, 15, 20… when counting in 5s
More activities:
Find things around the house and put them into groups of 2 or 5.
Draw groups of 2 and groups of 5 and count how many you have altogether.
