Dear Parent/Carer
Please see latest information from the Local Authority & Welsh Government:
As you will be aware, a confirmed case of Coronavirus has occurred in Swansea, following Public Health Wales advice all our Schools are open as normal.
The actual risk remains low and no additional measures need to be taken above the advice already provided by Public Health Wales.
If you need any further information please go to https://phw.nhs.wales/topics/latest-information-on-novel-coronavirus-covid-19/
Can you help?
We would like to support an exciting new project in Swansea to provide free boots to kids and young adults in the community.
Called The Boot Room, the idea was thought up by local Swans fan Carl Bradley in a bid to help families struggling to finance football boots for their children.
With football boots proving extremely expensive to purchase, it was also preventing many youngsters from participating in the game they love.
But Carl has come to the rescue and received backing from the Swans and many local businesses who are acting as drop off points for the boots.
If you are able to help please donate your unwanted football boots to Lynda Phillips in the School Office. If we have a good response we will look to work with the Boot Room on a more regular basis.
Your donations are greatly appreciated for this worthy project!
This year we’re inviting pupils to ‘Get Together’ for the Great Big Pudsey Day!
FRIDAY 15TH NOVEMBER
This year's theme is "Get Together" so we are asking children to donate £1 and come to school dressed in their pyjamas. Each class will take part in a fun afternoon of three-legged racing (and watch a staff race too!).
Together we can help change children's lives across the UK
I just want to take this opportunity of wishing the SLT, Staff and Pupils a fantastic summer break. The work you have all put in during the last academic year has, as always been second to none and this is coming through in results we are seeing.
Good luck to all Year 6 leavers who are now embarking on the next stage of their education, I'm sure they will all be fantastic and go on to do brilliant things.
Have a fab Summer and see you all in September.
Michelle

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our community a very happy Summer Holiday. Many thanks for all your support this year – it is what makes this school so great! Best wishes to our amazing Year 6 pupils – you have done us all proud. We wish you the very best for your next stage of education.
I hope you all have a great time resting and recharging before returning in September for another great year at @LPS.

Rainbow Hamper Raffle
Our PTFA normally sell tickets for our Rainbow Hampers at our Sports Day events and Summer Fayre. As Sports day has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions we have decided to give parents the option of purchasing tickets via sQuid in addition to purchasing at the Summer Fayre this coming Thursday. We have 8 of these lovely hampers to be won!
Once purchased, tickets (priced at £1 each) will be sent home with your child and the draw will take place at one of our Assembly's next week. Please note that you can purchase as many or few tickets as you like by adjusting the number in your basket at checkout.
Many thanks for your continued support!
Sports Day 18th June 2019
Due to the weather forecast and persistent rain over the last few days we have had to make a decision to cancel sports day once again tomorrow.
Unfortunately the village green is unsafe as the grass is very wet and slippery.
Sports day will now be undertaken as part of the children's PE lessons as there are no available dates to hold a 3rd option off-site. However, we will ensure that the children continue to have a good 'sports day' experience in school.
