The children had a number of different shape flashcards in front of them, they needed to identify the shape and then find something in the room that was the same shape.
There were three numbered summer pictures in a row (beach ball, beach hut and sun) in each set of 3 the beach hut was missing. The children needed to fill in the blank by identifying the numbers on the sheet and counting on in order to find the missing one.
The children had numbered watermelons in front of them. For this activity, they needed to identify the number on it and then count of that many animals to put with the correct watermelon.
The children took it in turns to roll the dice, they needed to identify the number on the dice (by counting the dots). Once they knew the number they needed to find that number on the card and place their Teddy on top of it.
For this activity, the children had rows of different sea creatures (different amount on each row). The children needed to count how many of each sea creature there were and write the number at the end of the row.
The children had a number of different ice creams in front of them, all different sizes. The children needed to put the ice creams in the correct order, from biggest to smallest.
The children worked really had to complete this activity. They needed to recognise the number on the card in front of them and then put them in the correct order on the table. To end the activity, they needed to count for me as high as they could.
Firstly the children were asked if they could identify the shapes in front of them then a pattern was created for them to identify and then complete. The children worked really had to complete the pattern.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
