Play, Learn and Grow Together

Target 4

  • All stakeholder representatives met during the EMHWB committee to discuss progress against their action plan. Pupil representatives within the committee disseminated recent developments such as the Golden table designed to improve pupil wellbeing at lunchtime. This has enabled learners to have a voice in whole school development and improve their leadership skills.

  • Nearly all learners have improved their understanding and awareness of Children Rights through our Health & Wellbeing Progression Model and Jigsaw Assemblies are being carried out across the school. Many classes are further enhancing pupil’s understanding of the Rights of the Child through the Pupil Learning Journey reflection sessions.

  • Weekly drop-in sessions have been provided through our ‘Turn your Frown Upside Down’ club organised and led by the Triple H which provides peer support for learners across the school.  Through listening to learners, it is evident that this is having a positive impact as children feel they have time and space to share their thoughts and feelings.

  • Through staff questionnaires and professional discussion, the school has provided ADDs and INSET sessions were staff have training and learning opportunities to improve their wellbeing.  Staff have been signposted to various agencies who provide support and advice, which has proven very useful for individuals to engage with when required.

  • Focused discussions during ADDs have provided staff the opportunity to suggest other strategies to improve their wellbeing such as team building activities, staffroom cleansing and fun social activities.
