Play, Learn and Grow Together

Target 3

  • Nearly all year groups enhance their curriculum projects with an engaging educational trip or experience to provide a real-life context to the learning ahead.

  • Staff and learners consult with members of the community and wider; speaking to experts, specialist and professionals who provide relevance, knowledge, specific detail and skills to the development of the termly project.

  • Staff have audited, mapped and planned out all spaces available within the school grounds to develop more engaging outdoor learning experiences.  This is currently in development and will be implemented during the Summer Term.

  • Links have been forged with the Llangyfelach Scout Leader in order to utilise their Outdoor Learning grounds, which will enable the school to undertake Forest Schools sessions and enrichment experiences.

  • Key staff have begun the process of becoming fully trained Forest School Practitioners, that will enable all learners across the school to benefit from Forest School experiences and enrichment sessions.
