Spelling

Your reading tasks have been set on Reading Eggspress. Don't forget you can also access reading books using the Library on the platform too. Use the scrolling option at the top of the library to select the age to increase or decrease the difficulty of the text.

Topic

This week, a numeracy problem has been provided (see resources below), which explores how the Ancient Egyptians developed trade as their kingdoms grew.

As part of your own self-directed research, create a presentation on Egyptian trade.

  • How did ancient Egyptians trade goods?
  • What currencies were used (if any)?
  • What type of goods were traded?
  • How did trade enable kingdoms to expand?

Again, you can choose how to present your information, make sure information is accurate and presented neatly and legibly.

Challenge: How could you demonstrate where you got your information from?

Previous Topic Work:

This week, a comprehension has been provided (see resources below) which looks at the Ancient Egyptian process of mummification.

Additionally, use the comprehension, as well as your research skills to create your own presentation about mummification.

You will need to explain:

  • What mummification is
  • Why ancient Egyptians performed mummification
  • What people got mummified
  • How mummification was performed
  • How mummification was effective for preservation.

You can choose how to present your information.

Ideas could include: PowerPoint/Canva presentation, Scratch coded game which answers the lines of enquiry, iMovie presentation, Research Poster.
