Rockpool Raiders

Rockpool Raiders!

Swansea Bay News and Year 2 are looking for our help! They are setting up a new area in their magazine and website focusing on protecting our wonderful coastline. It is our job to look at relationships across the beautiful beaches and bays around Swansea. We will be investigating how animals, plants and humans interact with each other. Our first task is to head to Swansea Bay to look for interesting and unusual objects. We will use our senses to spot, sniff and seek them out. Which creatures live on the seashore? Have we seen the rockpools yet? Why do crabs have shells? We can take a peek into the cool water to learn about the weird and wonderful animals and plants in their microhabitats. Lets grab our buckets and spades and let’s get raiding rockpools!

We chatted on the carpet about rock pools and the seaside, and we shared some information that we already knew!
