Physical Development

The children enjoyed using the scissors and pegging to develop their fine motor skills. After all that hard work it was time to have more fun outside exploring the hoops and throwing  the beanbags. Developing our gross motor, balance and coordination.

Having fun outside!

Look at how we can use our ribbon stick!

Fire fighters at the ready! Time to put out the fire. Hurry, Hurry!

The children used the spray bottles to put out the fire.

After having a visit from Firefighter Stuart, it was time for the  children to be put to the test! They need to be fit and ready to be a firefighter. They started off slowly by showing some fantastic yoga firefighter moves and then for the firefighter training obstacle challenge course.

The children used their fingers to roll and press the playdough onto the teeth to make plaque, then they had fun using the toothbrush to clean the plaque away in the shaving foam and toothpaste to help keep the teeth clean and healthy.

This term the children have enjoyed getting fit with their friends. The have been creating some groovy yoga moves in the jungle.

In PE the children enjoyed joining in with the traffic light game. They travelled around the hall moving their bodies in different ways when the traffic lights changed colour. Red stop! yellow walk and green run, they also travelled over speed bumps in their car. Showing how to jump using two feet off the ground. The children knew the colour of the traffic lights in Welsh and were able to follow instructions in Welsh to travel in their car.

The children took turns to take part in a post relay. They had to collect the parcels from different places in the community such as the school, post office, shops and houses. They passed their post bag full of parcels to their team partner and they had to deliver all the parcels.

It is time to deliver the post!
