Numeracy

Year 1 have been using JIT to create and program rocket ship directions as part of their learning. In maths, the children have been developing their understanding of directional language, using words such as forwards, backwards, left and right. They enjoyed applying these skills digitally, giving clear instructions to help their rocket ships reach their destination.

We have been exploring multiplication by looking at ‘sets of’. Year 1 have been learning how to group objects into equal sets and count how many there are altogether.
