Additional Maths Homework:

This week we have been learning our number bonds to 10. We have enjoyed singing this song (underneath) to help us learn them. Can you help the children write out some of the number bonds to 10 in their homework books. We have been using the + and = symbols in class so the children can write the number bonds as a sum...

eg. 4 + 6 = 10

5 + 5 = 10

Number bonds for 10 song. Number bonds are simply the pairs of numbers that make up a given number. Number bonds can also be called number partners or number pairs. Number bonds are a very important foundation for understanding how numbers work. Number bonds create fluency for composing and decomposing numbers for addition and subtraction.
