Autumn

In Wraparound we have been learning all about Autumn. The children love a good treasure hunt, exploring and learning about Autumn. We made a wonderful sensory bin full of different pieces we found on our Autumn walk. It has been lovely to watch the children explore our lovely treasures and use them to become creative. They had fun printing leaves, sorting leaves into colour, and making different faces from the natural objects. For our home corner we decided to create a spiky hedgehog from the leaves we collected in the yard. The children shared some information about what they new about Autumn to their friends. We looked at a story All about Autumn to find out further information.

Autumn time has arrived and the children enjoyed making pumpkin shaped cookies. With some help from Mrs Harris-Griffiths they weighted the ingredients and mixed them all together to form a dough, ready to use the pumpkin shaped cutter. We added a little orange flavouring to our mixture too. Yummy! They children were very excited to take them home to eat.
