The children were asked to share information about what they already know and what they would like to find out about the topic 'Light and Dark'. They shared their ideas to the class and Mrs Harris-Griffiths wrote the children's answers on pupils voice about the topic. The questions they wanted to find out were

What are sources of light?
How is a shadow made?
What is a reflection?
How do you make a shadow big and small?
What can you use to make a coin shiny?

Wraparound were introduced to their new topic 'Light and Dark' The children watched a video clip all about different light sources inside our homes and outside in the environment. They then went off to explore all the different light sources in their classroom.

The children were excited to read stories in our dark tent using the torches to help them see. the pictures to re tell stories with their friends. They also discovered they can use the light from the torch to shine different colours using the shape blocks and colour wands.
