GDPR @ LPS

The Data protection law in the UK changed in May 2018. The video below explains these changes.

LPS has very strict data protection processes already in place, therefore not a great deal will change for the community. Much of the work carried out by the school does not require your consent as it forms part of the daily functions of a school. However, we will require your consent for certain additional aspects, and will be in contact over the coming weeks and months, as we work to become compliant with the new regulations. An example of this is the request from Hwb to provide your child with additional features and resources. We are currently updating our existing policies and consent forms. We will issue new packs in September 2018 for the 2018-19 academic year. These will cover aspects such as the administration of medicine, visits in the immediate locality, collection at the end of the school day, request for absence, taking photos, twitter and our school website to name but a few. We will ensure everyone within our community is updated on new developments in this area as they happen.
