The children have been learning about light and dark and shared with their friends what gives us light.

This week we have been learning about shadows and the children listened beautifully to a story called The Day I Met My Shadow. The found out that shadows can move, change shape and you can make a shadow big and small. From listening to the story the children then got busy making their own shadow puppet and played a matching shadow game. 

The children enjoyed joining in with the Fairytale puppet story of the Three Little Pigs with Mrs Harris-Griffiths

Mrs Harris-Griffiths needed the children's help to recognise the sounds because they were all backwards. The children use the mirror to help recognise the sounds in the reflection. 

During this activity the children pegged the picture that matched the rhyming word.

We are practicing to write our patterns in the salt.
