Play, Learn and Grow Together

Target 3

  • All staff have received training in the use of the new LPS Progression Models for each AoLE.  Regular professional discussions have taken place to support their understanding of the links between the progression model, Curriculum for Wales, Assessment and the LPS Learning Projects.

  • Workbook Scrutiny, Self/Peer Workbook Scrutiny and Shared Understanding of Progression sessions have enabled all staff to review their implementation of the new LPS Curriculum and its impact on learning across the school.

  • Most classes are implementing the LPS Learning Projects effectively with a widening range of skill application and deepening knowledge of concepts.

  • All staff have received training regarding the use of 'Insight', our new tracking and assessment tool, which utilises our LPS Progression Models.  This has provided an effective strategy for measuring progress across the school - ensuring LPS has a shared understanding of progress.

  • AoLE Leaders, Pupil Voice Groups and the Monitoring Committee have undertaken Review Fortnight activities to evaluate the impact of our Progression Models and Learning Projects across the school.

  • PVGs have met with the Governing Body to present and discuss progress made against their action plan and their next steps for improvement.

  • Nearly classes have enriched their Learning Projects and provided engaging stimuli through purposeful visitors and educational visits offsite.

  • Many classes have enriched their Learning Projects with creative and diverse themes, however this needs to further improve across the school.

  • Further enrichments of physical development and outdoor learning is required across the school.

Targets:

  1. Further enrich our LPS Learning Projects with creative, diverse, physical and spiritual learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom.
  2. Further enhance outdoor spaces to improve opportunities to transfer their learning beyond the classroom.
  3. Further enhance pupil voice by supporting learners to self-direct their own learning and influence the direction of our LPS Learning Projects.
