  • Chinese New Year

Wraparound children had fun learning about Chinese New Year. They loved dressing in traditional chinese clothes and playing in the roleplay area in the chinese restaurant, which was decorated with, chinese writing and red lanterns. The children had fun dressing up, cooking and serving food to their friends. They enjoyed finding out how Chinese New Year is celebrated by listening to stories and they enjoyed eating some traditional food like noodles. Yummy! Some of the children tried to use the chop sticks to pick up their noodles. Very clever! They then watched the zodiac animal race and found out which animal of the year they were born. Together the children went to put the animals in order of how they won the race.

Tasting some traditional chinese food. Delicious!
