Numeracy

The children were having fun outside in the building area. They built different size towers using the bricks and rocks.

During our topic Stars in the Sky, the children have been learning about time and enjoyed using the clocks. They chose a clock card and made o'clock on their clock.

This week we have been learning about stars in the night sky. The children have been going on a star hunt using their telescope to find and recognise the numbers on the shiny stars. They collected the stars and made a number line with their friends. The children were clever to count the numbers backwards to help the rocket fly back into space.

We are learning our shapes. We have been recognising and naming the shape to create a rocket and we have been sorting the aliens into shape.

We have some very clever children in Wraparound, they have been learning addition. They made their own sum by choosing numbers they wanted and counted the aliens to the same number. To find the total, the children added the all the aliens together.
