The children looked at the word mat poster of sun safety and together talked about how to stay safe in the sun. They decided to make their own sun safety poster to share with their friends to help keep them safe. 

The children chose their own picture card and were able to say what the picture was. They worked hard to recognise the beginning sound of the picture, but once they new they put a peg on it. The children were able to say something about their chosen picture. 

Outside the children played phonic splat. They rolled the dice and shouted out loud the sound. Then they looked for  the sound on the pebble or milk top and used their splat to swat the sound.
