  • AoLE Termly Monitoring

    • They are responsible for the progress and direction of SIP targets and how they relate and translate within their leadership areas.

    • As highlighted in the Self-Review Timeline, all leaders undertake a termly review of their progress and ways forward to achieve targets set.

    • Directed leadership time is offered to all leaders to undertake their duties effectively, such as:

      • ADDs sessions to feedback outcomes of review with all staff.

      • ADDs sessions to share information or provide training.

      • Create and analyse community questionnaires.

      • Lesson Looks and Listening to Learners.

      • Data Analysis.

      • Visiting other schools.

      • Courses and certified training.

      • Reviewing planning, assessment and workbook outcomes.

      • Presenting to various members of the school community.

    • All feedback is provided to the whole school community and wider via the AoLE area on the school website: https://www.llangyfelachprimaryschool.co.uk/topic/areas-of-learning.

    • This approach is a micro version of whole school improvement. The strategies and approaches are very similar to the actions undertaken by the Governing Body and SLT.

    • AoLE Leader, Link Governors and PVGs generate an annual Action Plan which is reviewed termly during Review Fortnight, applying the LPS Review Strategies appropriately.

    • Therefore, this sub system of school improvement empowers the leadership capacity of all staff within their areas of responsibility and enhances the leadership capacity and sustainability of the school.
