LPS Happy Healthy Helpers

Our amazing Happy Healthy Helpers are like superheroes for your health and wellbeing! They are here to help you stay active, eat well, and feel happy every day. In Year 1, we will learn how people around us can support us to keep a positive mindset and develop important skills to reach our own goals.

 

Can you join our superhero team and help others too? Who else in our school and community helps us stay healthy and safe? Can you think of real-life heroes who protect our rights and look after others?

 

Our Year One children have used the Question Matrix to help them come up with some interesting questions about our Autumn Term topic.

 

What foods help us to grow strong?

How can we keep our bodies healthy?

Why is exercise important?

What do the emergency services do to help us?

What does it mean to have a happy mind?

Who can we talk to if we need help?

Why is being kind important?

What do doctors, nurses, firefighters and police do?

What is a real-life hero?
