The children had a postcard delivered from Tedi Twt who was going to the beach. Mrs Harris -Griffiths asked the children if anybody had visited the beach and what they did there. We then decided to make a postcard for Tedi of our experiences. Listen below to what we did at the beach.
The children went on an adventure to explore the rock pool. They took their magnifying glass and nets to help them see who lived in the rock pool. What will they discover?
When visiting the beach, the children use their senses to sort the different seaside objects. They named the objects, explored them and used their senses and placed the object on the picture.
Save the sea creatures! The children sang the song Clean up the sea creature and wanted to help our sea animals. They talked about the different rubbish and sorted it into the right recycling bins. They then talked about how to care of the animals, using a stethoscope and medical sheet to record if they are feeling hot or have spots.
The children have been learning to spell their name. They recognised the letters in their name and found the magnetic letter to form their name.
We have been learning our first sounds s, a, t, p, i, n. We used the fishing rod to match the picture card to the beginning sound on the pot.
Playing sound pop is great fun!
The children listened to the seaside sounds and guessed what they could hear at the beach.
