Leroy the Lion needs our help. He wants to make sure that everyone at LPS is happy, healthy, safe, included and supported.

Along the way, we will meet the Triple H's the Fitness Fanatics and lots of other real-life heroes who help us and our community.

Phonics 

This week, Year 1 have been learning the digraphs ff, ll, ss and zz. The children have been practising reading and writing words containing these sounds and have been working hard to apply their phonics knowledge.

We’ve been using our whiteboards to practise spelling and build our confidence with these new sounds. Well done, Year 1! 🌟

PE 

This week in PE, Year 1 have had lots of fun exploring our outdoor gym! The children enjoyed trying out the different equipment, developing their strength, balance and coordination while keeping active. 🌟

Maths 

We have been recognising and ordering numbers and have started to explore place value in two-digit numbers. The children have been learning to identify the tens and ones and understand what each digit is worth.
