Gaming Club

Gaming Club is all about fun, social interaction, creativity and learning through exploration. During Gaming Club, children will be:

  • Playing board games.

  • Designing and making board games. 

  • Playing online games.

  • Developing computational thinking using coding to make video games and learn about programming.

  • These following platforms and resources will be used in Gaming Club:

    • J2Code

    • Kodu

    • Scratch

    • BBC Microbits

    • Robotics & Electronics

Learning to code is an important skill now we’re living in a digital age. It’s not just enough for children to know how to use technology. They should know how it works too. Learning to code doesn’t just mean you can become a developer, it strengthens problem solving skills and logical thinking and supports key academic subjects such as science, maths and technology.

We believe that our Gaming Club supports our school mission:

To provide a caring, secure and stimulating environment where all pupils are inspired to become lifelong learners within the 21st Century.
