Meet our new members from Year 2...

LPS Allotment

This year we have focused our attentions on our allotment areas. Lots of children and staff have been busy clearing out all the beds, ready for new soil and seeds. Each class are going to be allocated a growing bed/area and then it will be their responsibility to maintain and look after whatever they plant. Watch this space to see how we all get on. 

We have been so fortunate to have been supplied a huge bag of soil to rejuvenate our allotment area. This will really help with all our future projects. A big thank you to DJW Property maintenance.

We have linked up with Morrisons Community Morfa and they kindly donated seeds are other gardening tools to help us with our allotment projects.

Our allotment areas have all been cleared and are all ready to begin planting. Each year group has been allocated a flower bed/area which they will maintain.

Year 1 have been busy planting in their grow bed. They have been planting Lettuce and sweet pea flowers. We can't wait to see them grow.

We have been busy weeding in our allotment patch this morning and also made sure our plants had lots of water.

Year 3 & 4 had a visit from The Size of Wales project - We learnt all about the Rain forest and how to look after it.
