This is what we've been up to this week!
Home Learning Area Tasks for the week of: 27.04.20
Maths: Number of the week: 20. Use the number blocks websites for powerpoints- 'The Two Tree' and 'Numberblock Castle'. Watch the episodes!
This week I would like you to think about patten. Can you play the shape patterns game and finish the patterns? Can you make patterns using things around your house? Can you make a pattern using two or three colours, objects or sounds?
Reading: This week I would like you to listen to Miss Richards story, 'Spinderella'. Once you have listened to it, answer my questions below:
1. Did you enjoy the story? Why?
2. Who was your favourite character? Why?
3. What was your favourite part of the story? Why?
4. Did you learn any new words? What words?
Lot's of you have signed up to Oxford Owl, where you can find some Biff, Chip and Kipper ebooks. This week, choose a book to read at your correct reading level.
I have assigned you ‘ Incy wincy Spider’ on Giglets so you can sing along with us!
Topic Work: Last week you thought of some great questions- I have uploaded them all here. This week I would like you to answer Avery's question:
'Why does a centipede have so many legs?'
Record your answer.
I’d like you to have a go at The Very Hungry Caterpillar- Cosmic kids Yoga. Take lot's of photos!
This week I have made a spider from the story 'Spinderella'! Can you make one too? What can you use?
Phonics: Sound of the week- ‘w’. Can you complete the below nelson handwriting sheet in your homework book? Write the sentence ‘Wendy washes Will’.
Can you find things in your house/ garden that begin with w? Tell your family what you have found!
Can you spell any words beginning with w? Write them in your homework books! Keep practicing your high frequency words!
