Home Learning Area Tasks for the week of: 06.04.20- HAPPY EASTER! laugh

 

Maths: Numbers of the week: 14 and 15. Use the number blocks websites for powerpoints- 'Just add one' and 'Double trouble'. Watch the episodes!

 

Addition- I'd like you to recap addition with your family. First can you play the Funky Mummy addition game. Next can you ask a family member to write some sums in your homework book?

I will give you the first sum.

After you have done your sums, can you write your own for a family member? Can you record yourself reading your sum and your friends can answer it next week? 

 

GigletsWith your family, read the story. Complete the tasks attached to the story!

 

Topic Work: Now that you have made a shelter for your pet- let's see if you can answer some of our questions that we wanted to find out at the start of our topic.

1. How do you look after a cat? - Jayden & Jake

2. Why do pandas have spots/ markings? Millie & Emily

 

You could use books, the internet or ask your family. Record your research and answers- I love seeing your videos! 

 

Phonics: Sound of the week- 'L'. Can you complete the below nelson handwriting sheet in your homework book? Write the sentence 'Louise likes lollies'.

Can you think of words beginning with 'L'? Tell your family these words. Draw and label them in your homework book. 

 

Can you ask a family member to record you reading one of your reading books? Will be lovely to hear you read smiley Lot's of you have signed up to Oxford Owl, where you can find some Biff, Chip and Kipper ebooks.

 

Have a lovely Easter all- I'd like to see you have an easter egg hunt, an egg rolling competition and a bunny hop! I'm looking forward to seeing all your photos and videos. I have attached some Easter activities below!

 

Use the useful websites for songs and games we use in class- I have added resources here too!
