Week: 01/06/2020

Hi Everyone!

Hope you're all well and that you've been enjoying a well deserved break!

We've had some lovely sunny days haven't we?

Here is your week of activities for you to complete.

Remember to keep sending me your work, and also send me some pictures or short videos of what you have been getting up to! I always love hearing you read too, so remember to send me videos of you reading!

Take care and stay safe,

Miss Evans.

MyMaths: Multiplication

Login to MyMaths. Select Curriculum for Wales, then from the Library select Using Number Skills, then select Number Facts and Relationships. I'm easing you back in with some times tables practise so there are two online lessons for you to do this week.

In Number Facts and Relationships, scroll down to 3 times tables and 4 times tables. Complete both of those online lessons, like we do on the ctouch board in class, then login to your portal to complete the online homework

Here are some links to some maths games to help with your 3 and 4 times tables:

Can you remember our Percy Parker songs? Here are the links for the 3 times tables and the 4 times tables! Click on the links and sing along!

Can you ask a grown up to film you singing some of the songs and send it to me?

Giglets: Jack And The Beanstalk

I have assigned you one book this week. This book is longer than some of the Giglets books you are already familiar with.

Read the story and complete the Reading Test Questions and the Higher Order Thinking Skills Questions.

Topic Task 1: Expressive Arts

Observe and draw sketches of different fruits and vegetables. Look very carefully at the detail. Have a think about the colours and patterns you can see on the food. Maybe, if you have one, use a magnifying glass to get a closer look. Then try peeling or slicing the food, and look again! It's a whole new picture! Send me pictures of your sketches!

Topic Task 2: DT

With a grown up, have a go at baking bread! You can use a bread maker, use a packet mix or make from scratch! Whatever you prefer! What type of bread will you make? Will you include any extra flavourings or keep it simple? Will it be white or wholemeal? Whatever you choose to do, have fun and send me lots of pics!

Topic Task 3: ICT

Following on from the breadmaking, use ICT to research different types of bread available and record in a table. For example, you could include information such as product name, weight, price, type, any special ingredients etc. How many different types of bread can you research?

Click on the word document below to show you an example of what your research could look like:

Spellings: Please see the spellings section as usual for your weekly spellings!
